Marube is an experienced corporate finance expert with track record in financial consulting for private companies, donor agencies and government agencies in the areas of fiscal accountability, fiduciary reforms, audit oversight, and technical assistance spanning 7 years across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan. Marube is currently the CEO for Burnley & Company, a business strategy and consulting firm based in Nairobi Kenya. He previously worked as a senior auditor for Deloitte & Touche and subsequently as the internal audit manager for Essar Telecom Kenya Limited (yuMobile) part of the Essar Group of India.
Key among the assignments handled include USIAD FIRM’s Credit Information Sharing Association of Kenya, DFID’s Windle Trust Fund for Kenya, IFAD’s Procasur Africa, South Sudan Forex Bureau PLC in Juba, Kenya Roads Board Fund, National Bank of Kenya, UBA Kenya, Fidelity Commercial Bank Limited, Q-Sourcing Limited from Uganda and BestPack Limited Tanzania among others.
Marube is also an independent Fiscal Consultant and has carried out financial assessments and technical assistance for various grantees and sub-grantees in Kenya such as: CIS-Kenya, Third Race Kenya and OGRA Foundation.
Marube Holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi; He is a Chartered Accountant, and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has recently graduated with the Entrepreneurship Development Programme from Strathmore University.
Emma Marube has scaled her accounting career and managed to curve a niche in the area of audit and risk management. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance & Banking) from Moi University. She is also a registered Certified Public Accountant of Kenya CPA (K).
As the director of accountancy services, she is tasked with the day-to-day operations profiling of the clients and ensuring successful performance of audits with diligence and integrity at all times by ensuring compliance with technical requirements like IFRS, IAS, ISAs.
She is also involved in the development and monitoring of several companies’ operating procedures and business processes and ensuring that internal controls are adequate and operating effectively.
Augustine is an experienced Tax expert with track record in Taxation advisory for private companies, donor agencies and government agencies. His experience cuts across all the tax heads namely Value Added Tax (“VAT”), Corporation Tax, Pay As You Earn (“PAYE”), Withholding Tax (“WHT”), Customs and Excise Duty as well as transfer pricing for multinationals spanning 5 years across Kenya and Uganda.
Augustine is currently the Tax Partner for Burnley & Company, a business strategy and consulting firm based in Nairobi Kenya. He previously worked as a Tax Analyst for PKF Taxation Services and subsequently as the Senior Tax Consultant for Taxwise Consulting Limited.
Key among the assignments handled include Muramati Sacco, Rural Electrification Authority (“REA”), Multiple Solutions Limited, Alliance One Tobacco Limited, Kenya Grange Vehicles Limited, East African Breweries Limited among others.
He has been involved in Tax planning and restructuring assignments, tax compliance reviews (Tax health checks), due diligence assignments and tax refund audits.
Augustine Holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Makerere University and a Diploma in Taxation from the UK.
